Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – A tractor trailer truck flipped on its side late Thursday night blocking a lane of traffic near the intersection of West Main Street (Hwy 1) and Sunset Boulevard in Lexington. Lexington police officers responded as did the fire service.
Lexington PD said over their social media that one lane was closed because of the truck lying on its side. They warned that once a heavy wrecker arrived, more of the street might need to be closed as the recovery vehicle worked to right the truck and trailer.
Police officers stayed on the scene directing traffic until the recovery was made. The mess was cleared away and the street was back open well before the morning commute.
