1 killed in collision on Nazareth Road yesterday

Lexington, SC 04/22/2025 (Paul Kirby) – One man has been killed in a single vehicle collision in the 1300 block of Nazareth Church Road on Monday, April 21, 2025. According to Lexington County Coroner Fisher, the man killed Christopher Areheart, 70, of Lexington.

According to law enforcement, Areheart was traveling north on Nazareth Road when he dropped off the left side of the road, hit a utility pole, and then a tree. Areheart, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
