COLUMBIA, SC - The South Carolina Department of Agriculture will host Farmers Market Nutrition Program Training at four locations around the state. The FMNP allows farmers to accept SC FMNP checks and WIC Cash Value Vouchers.
The training will include rules and regulations of each program including allowable fruits and vegetables, authorized locations and banking information. Attendees will be provided information from the 2017 Guidebook for Farmers and will be required to complete and turn in an application and agreement that includes a crop plan for the year. Representatives from DHEC, DSS and SCDA will be on hand to answer questions.

February 7 – Greenwood Municipal Building; 520 Monument Street, Greenwood, SC
February 9 – Chester Market Building; 116 Columbia Street, Chester, SC
February 21 – Historic Bean Market; 111 Henry Street, Lake City, SC
February 23 – State Farmers Market, Phillips Market Center; 3483 Charleston Highway, West Columbia, SC
All sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 12:00 p.m.
