LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Meadow Glen Middle Science Olympiad team won several awards at the state competition on Saturday, February 18.
MGMS placed second out of 31 teams in Division B. The team also received the coveted George J. Renwick Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by the event’s judges.
In the individual events, the Gators placed in the top six for 17 out of 20 events, including first-place awards in “Write It, Do It” and “Pentathlon.”
MGMS coaches include Ashley Holmes, Margaret E. Tesh, Kay Dyar and Taylor Fralick.
