Horse trapped between building and tree rescued by deputies and firefighters

Lexington County, SC (Paul Kirby) Recently, Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by firefighters from the county, rescued a horse who had become trapped between a tree and a small building. Apparently, the horse tried to maneuver between the two and became wedged to the point that its owner couldn’t free the animal.

Firefighters used special, inflatable rescue bags to increase the gap between the building and the tree so that the horse could be freed. Once the horse was rescued, she was examined, and only had minor scrapes according to a spokesman for the rescuers.
