Oak Grove, SC (Paul Kirby) Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are conducting a manhunt for someone who escaped their custody in that area earlier today. According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the department, they are searching with deputies and K-9’s in the areas of Delree Street, Kitti Wake Drive, and Old Barnwell Road.
Myrick said that the suspect is 38-year-old Bradley Wayne Jovanelly of Columbia. He is a white male, 5'7", with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts and a brown T-shirt. He was apparently under arrest for larceny of electricity when he managed to escape from the deputy.
The sheriff’s department is asking that citizens in the area stay alert and report any unusual activity by calling 911.
