West Columbia, SC - Parents, students, business leaders and community members are invited to an informational session to learn more about programs for career and college readiness at the new Lexington Two Innovation Center.
The session about the new center -- which opens next summer for the August 2018 school start -- is set for Monday, Nov. 16 at Lexington Two’s District Education Center, 715 Ninth Street.
The new innovation center will offer a variety of courses for the 2018 start and in the years ahead, among them digital multimedia and design; law and public safety; civil engineering and architecture; welding; electricity; auto mechanics; and health science and sports medicine.
The Nov. 16 session will include Q&As with center instructors, live demonstrations, door prizes and more.
The center, at 509 Bulldog Blvd. in Cayce, is part of the $225 million package of school improvements approved by voters in 2014. It’s one of two new schools opening next year; the other is Riverbank Elementary.
