Pond Branch, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County deputies have arrested 33-year-old Rachel Winch of Columbia after she initiated a pursuit Wednesday night. Deputies say she refused a lawful traffic stop after a deputy saw her driving left of the center line on Neely Wingard Road.
After a six-mile pursuit that reached a top speed of 70 miles per hour, Winch got out of her car and attempted to escape on foot. She was apprehended a short distance from her car. She has been charged with driving under suspension, driving without insurance, driving left of center, and failure to stop for blue lights.
