Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – Captain Adam Myrick of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has now identified the location where a shooting took place this morning that left one wounded. Myrick said that this all happened at the intersection of Varn Road and Calico Court off Gardners Terrace Road northeast of Gaston.
After the shooting, the companions of the victim drove him to the Pilot Truck Stop on Charleston Highway in Cayce. There they called for the police and an ambulance. Myrick said that the man was transported with an injury that’s not life-threatening. Myrick said regarding the case and injured man, “He’s been talking with detectives as our work on the case continues.
