Wilson Group of Companies celebrating 25-years in business

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Wilson Group of Companies is celebrating 25 years in business with a drop-in and gathering of old and new friends at their company’s offices. The celebration will be held at 111 Columbia Avenue in Chapin beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday September 7th. During the celebration, hors d’oeuvres will be served and gifts will be given out.

The Wilson Group is a company that helps both businesses and their principals with a broad range of financial expertise and carefully crafted programs that can help bring security for individuals, business owners, managers and employees alike. Skip Wilson deals with customers who are young and just starting out in business, business people who are well established but need varying amounts of help with their financial management and insurance issues, and retirees who are looking to take what they’ve built during their working years and protect and grow those assets.

Skip Wilson is founder, president, and CEO of Wilson Insurance Group, LLC and Wilson Financial Group, LLC. Both of these companies make up the Wilson Group of Companies. Wilson was born and raised in South Carolina. Blessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, he is an experienced business owner. Since moving to Chapin, he has started and owned various businesses and endeavors such as the Lake Murray Christian Book Store, Roly Poly Sandwich Shop, Commercial Real Estate Development, and Elite Premium Finance and Payroll Services.He also served the people of Chapin as their mayor from 2014-2017, a time of great growth and change for Chapin.

Wilson has always been very involved in the support of businesses both large and small in Chapin. He is a current member and past president of the Greater Chapin Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Economic Development Committee. He was also a past chairman of the Board of Advisors for the Greater Chapin Community Endowment. He is a current member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), including the South Carolina chapter. He has also received his certification for long term care Insurance.
