West Columbia, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - The Blended Bakery is a mobile bakery that has been making waves in the Midlands and especially Lexington County.
This farm-to-table food truck, which was converted from an old trolley, serves breakfast and lunch and specializes in farm-to-table, from-scratch food. Their menu changes monthly with what is in season locally, and each month has its own theme. October's menu is German-themed for Oktoberfest. Next month will be Thanksgiving themed, but personally, I cannot wait for those Christmas sweets! You will find things on their menu like German quiche, baked oatmeal, cakes, pies, and even cinnabacon rolls.
The bakery is owned and operated by DJ and Teresa Stone. They named the business after their six children that have "blended" up their family.
Although the food truck was primarily parked in Red Bank for a while, they have a new location at the West Columbia Food Court on 782 Meeting Street. Thanks to support from other local businesses like Sightler's Florist & Marketplace and Outdoor Wood Furniture Inc., there are even picnic tables with fresh flowers on them to sit down and enjoy your food. However, Red Bank citizens don't need to worry. Blended Bakery will still be parked at the Pelican's Snoballs in Red Bank at times. The food truck also travels to local events around the Midlands. You can even book them for an event.
If you are ever wondering where Blended Bakery might be, they post a weekly schedule every Sunday on their Facebook page.
