Two incumbents re-elected, but newcomer takes the majority in Lexington Four School Board race

Gaston, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - Lexington School District Four voters turned out Tuesday, November 6, to vote on three open School Board seats. There were three incumbents that ran for re-election. They were Brad Frick, Zachary Smith, and Sadie Kirkland Wannamaker. Their three challengers were Donna Franklin Goodwin, Viola Frances McDaniel, and Robert B. White, III.

All ballots weren't finished being counted until almost midnight, but in the end, challenger Donna Franklin Goodwin grabbed the most votes with 1,664. Next, incumbent Brad Frick received 1,603 votes, and the last seat went to Coach Zack Smith who received 1,541 votes at the polls. Incumbent Sadie Kirkland Wannamaker was ousted with a respectable turn out that brought her 1,271 votes, while Robert White III, a newcomer to the political game as a candidate, was able to win just 798 votes.
