Chapin Chamber of Commerce holds Lunch & Learn with packed house

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Chapin Chamber of Commerce held a packed Lunch & Learn at the Chapin Town Hall Thursday. The session, sponsored by the Lexington Medical Center, was so well-attended that it nearly filled the large community room. It was catered by Moe’s Southwest Grill that had a great lunch buffet provided for all attendees.

Steve Wall, of the Tipsy Toad, opened the meeting with the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. The chamber’s Executive Director Rebecca Hines went over several of the chamber’s upcoming events. She also reviewed several of the organization’s new programs. Hines also introduced and recognized the chamber’s new ambassadors and praised the start and immediate success of the Young Business Leaders’ program.

After the chamber business was completed, a member of Lexington Medical Center’s staff gave an update on the new tower set to open soon at the main campus on Sunset Boulevard. It will add approximately 500,000 sq. feet of space to the hospital. Afterward, a member of the management team from the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program gave an informative talk on the function of the cardiovascular system and heart health.

The meeting broke up with members having an opportunity to do some networking. You can find out more about the chamber and its upcoming events on their website at www.chapinchamber.com. You can also contact their office by telephone at (803) 345-1100.
