Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) - Sergeant Bill Finch and Officer Blake Gainous of the Chapin Police Department were both recently recognized by the men and women of the local American Legion for their hard work and excellence in their jobs as members of the Chapin department. Post 193 recognized Sgt. Finch as their Officer of the Year for 2018. Gainous was selected the Traffic Safety Officer of the Year for 2018.
Both of these police officers work hard and show tremendous dedication to the community and the department in various ways. They work long hours not just patrolling but also being involved in various community events. They serve tirelessly with department and alongside the people of Chapin to make the town a better place to live. Congratulations to these two fine men.
