West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lagniappe Medical Clinics, LLC announced Monday that Dr. Rita Patel, formerly of Swansea Internal Medicine, a Lexington Medical Center practice, will be joining their staff at their West Columbia practice effective Tuesday, July 2nd. This office, which is located at 2989 Sunset Blvd. near West Columbia is just west of the main campus of the Lexington Medical Center toward the Town of Lexington.
According to their webpage, Lagniappe Medical Center is a primary care clinic and urgent care center. They serve families and individuals of all ages in the Midlands of South Carolina. “With two locations in Columbia, one in West Columbia, and a fourth in Blythewood, patients can easily access the dedicated and personalized care of the Lagniappe Medical Center team,” it goes on to read.
Former patients of Dr. Patel can begin calling 803-724-6058 with any questions or to schedule their appointments now if they’d like to follow and maintain a continuity of care by staying with Dr. Patel. Karen R McGrady, Chief Operating Officer for Lagniappe, said Tuesday that all current patients should be receiving a letter from Lexington Medical Center in the next few days concerning the changes and transfer of medical records. She said they and their patients welcome Dr. Patel as she focuses on improving and continuing Lagniappe's tradition of outstanding patient care.
