Pine Ridge, SC -- If you’re a car or truck enthusiast, here’s an event you won’t want to miss.
Pine Ridge Middle School is holding its annual Fall Fest and Car Show from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 5, at the school. It’s $20 per entry to exhibit, and registration opens at 9:30 a.m. on event day. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 in all classes, and all entries are welcome.
“I believe our car show has had such great staying power due to its uniqueness as a school fundraiser,” said Pine Ridge Middle Principal David Basile. “We looked for ways to create a community-based initiative to not only raise some money, but engage the community in our school.
“The car show is in its fourth year. I like doing it because it gives me a chance to talk about all the great things going on here at PRMS to a group of community members who may not normally be involved with the school,” Basile said. “It takes a lot of work to organize, but by using Jerry Smith, a professional car show organizer, that helps us ensure we have a quality fundraising event.”
For details about the car show, call Smith, (843) 680-6956.
In addition to the car show, there will be a community yard sale ($10 tables), music, games, food, crafts and a silent auction.
Funds raised during the festival will help support the school’s PBIS program and events.
The school is located at 735 Pine Ridge Drive in West Columbia.
