Swansea High School holds first FFA business meeting of the year

Swansea, SC - Swansea High School’s FFA Chapter held their first official school business meeting October 3rd. Student officers wore their FFA official dress and performed Opening Ceremonies before welcoming new and returning members.

Chapter President Abigail Krasselt created and presented a slideshow of various events that FFA participates in throughout the school year at the chapter, state, and national level. After the presentation, officers led the group in an ice breaker activity to get to know each other better. Students chose a starburst out of the bucket, read their question aloud on their turn and answered the question in front of the group. The meeting concluded with pizza and fellowship time.

Student officers focused on recruitment during the first eight weeks of school and had over 50 students in attendance! The officers have been working very hard to implement new ideas for fundraising, chapter fellowship activities, team building, and community service projects for this school year in hopes of creating a lasting impact in their school and community.
