White Knoll High School Timberwolf Band to perform in the 100th Annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day

White Knoll, S.C. — The White Knoll High School Timberwolf Band will perform live in the 6abc/Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 28, at 8:30 a.m. The 1.4-mile parade is the oldest Thanksgiving parade in the country — first staged in 1920.

The band joins marching bands from Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

Director of Bands Tom Padgett tells us that they left Sunday, are currently in New York, and leave for Philadelphia Wednesday. They are extremely excited to represent White Knoll High School, Lexington School District One and the state of South Carolina in this, the 100th annual parade.

No matter the weather, these band students have not stopped practicing since state finals on October 26, where they placed second in class 4A less than eight- tenths behind the first-place band.
