West Columbia police asking the public for help identifying suspect in armed robbery

West Columbia, S.C. – Investigators with the West Columbia Police Department are turning to the public for assistance to help identify a suspect who robbed a restaurant in the city. In order to enlist the public's help, they are releasing still and video pictures taken during the incident.

On Sunday, December 22, 2019, a man approached an employee of Zaxby's located at 2320 Augusta Road. The employee had gone outside as a part of their work duties. The man approached the employee, presented a gun, and forced the employee back into the store. He then took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.
