Swansea, SC – On Wednesday, February 5th Sandhills Primary and Elementary Schools celebrated World Read Aloud Day. Administrators say that the students, teachers, and volunteers from schools had a fantastic time celebrating the power of story.
The students enjoyed Porkchop Production's performance of Little Red Riding Hood and the Fruitcake of Doom. They also had a visit from SCETV's Smart Cat, and guest readers in each classroom. They also participated in a special story and craft time in the Palace of Pages, otherwise known as the media center! It was a magical experience for our young readers, writers, and communicators.
