Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested one of the men they suspect was involved in a shooting that took place at a Swansea area bar on the weekend on July 4th, 2020. According to a spokesman for the department, Jamel Dash, 33, is charged with five counts of attempted murder.
Dash’s charges stem from what the sheriff’s department described as a drive-by shooting. They say Dash and another man were partying at the bar in the Swansea area, but they eventually left. After leaving, the pair drove by in what deputies believe was a blue, late model, crew cab pickup truck. It may have been a Chevrolet. That’s when they fired shots into the bar before fleeing the scene.
Investigators still need your help identifying a man that was accompanying Dash during the crime. His photograph was caught on surveillance cameras along with Dash while they were in the bar.
