Pine Ridge, SC (Paul Kirby) – Late last night, Friday, July 31, 2020, someone intentionally set fire to a marked patrol car at the headquarters of the Pine Ridge Police Department located at 2757 Fish Hatchery Road. Although the fire service did what they do best, the vehicle is now unable to be used by the department due to the fire.
Pine Ridge’s Police Chief Vince Silano was notified and per standard operating procedure, the investigation of this fire was turned over to the SC State Law Enforcement Division (SLED). There are however some images on surveillance video that have been reviewed and here is where the public can help.
The vehicle that fled the scene of the fire is believed to be have traveled southwest on Fish Hatchery Road to Pine Ridge Drive. At that point, the vehicle turned left and continued in the direction of Charleston Highway (Hwy 321 S). More videos will be reviewed as a part of this investigation, but agents need your tips now!
