Airport High School holds Mr. Eagle pageant for Camp Kemo

West Columbia, SC 04/08/2022 (Paul Kirby) - On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Airport High School hosted the 2022 Mr. Eagle Contest. The contest is the kickoff to the Airport High School Annual Camp Kemo Charity Drive organized by the Airport High School Student Government.


Eleven students competed for their respective class titles and for the coveted title of Mr. Eagle. Each contestant participated in three categories. The first category was a 3-minute interview with a panel of judges. The second category was the theme wear competition, and the third category was Airport Eagles Making History. Each contestant was asked to wear theme wear reflective of their historical figure of choice. The final category of the contest was the formal wear competition.

The following is a list of the winners for each class. The contest raised over $2,500 for the Camp Kemo Charity Drive.

Mr. Junior: Foster Barrs

Mr. Senior: Tyler Dasher

Mr. Eagle: Ry'Shawn Howell

Mr. Nice Guy: Ry'Shawn Howell

People's Choice: Jacob Terrell

Overall Theme Wear: Tyler Dasher
