Batesburg-Leesville PD asking the public for help identifying a woman who tried to defraud bank

Batesburg-Leesville, SC 06/23/2023 (Paul Kirby) - The Batesburg-Leesville Police Department is asking the public for their assistance in identifying a female who tried to take some money from a bank account that was not her’s. Police say that on May 24th of this year, the woman allegedly entered a local bank, showed a counterfeit driver’s license, and tried to withdraw $7,000.

Detectives ask that everyone look at the picture from the bank’s surveillance cameras closely. If you recognize the woman, please contact Detective Springs by email at ssprings@batesburg-leesville.org.
