Cayce Police Department releases video footage from two burglaries

Cayce, SC 11/23/2021 (Paul Kirby) - The Cayce Police Department is asking the public for assistance in a burglary investigation. According to investigators, the perpetrators broke into two businesses that were side-by-side in a strip center on Friday, November 19th, between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Officers say that the Marco’s Pizza and El Jimador at 514 Knox Abbott Drive were hit. This is the same morning that the Marco’s Pizza and Tropical Grille on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington were also burglarized in the same manner. The Lexington businesses were also side-by-side in a strip center and it appears as if these two crimes may have been associated with one another. According to a representative of the city, the two Cayce businesses have both been broken in to once before in the last several years.

Cayce police officers are now sharing the video surveillance footage from their burglaries. It shows the two individuals they are trying to identify.
