Cayce, SC 09/28/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The City of Cayce Police Department has scheduled a “Coffee with a Cop” event for October 5, 2022, at Piece Wise Coffee. Piece Wise is located at 2001 State Street in Cayce. The event will begin at 7:30 and end at 9:30 a.m.
"Coffee with a Cop" began in 2011 in Hawthorne California. Throughout the years this event has grown across the Nation and has become a very popular community event that allows cops to listen and learn from their communities’ citizens.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these events stopped in Cayce for 2 years. Now, Police Chief Chris Cowan states that he and the department are excited to bring these back to continue to bring the community together and to build trust and positive relationships.
Coffee with a Cop is open to everyone, and the police are hoping to make this year their biggest success. Many different team members from the department K9 Hudson who will be posing for picture opportunities.
