Cayce, SC 03/29/2023 (Paul Kirby) – This week, the City of Cayce’s Police Department is searching for a 42-year-old man that they have a warrant for. Each week, the Police Department publishes the information of a fugitive that they’ve obtained a warrant/s for but have been unable to locate for one reason or another. It’s their hope that someone will recognize the fugitive from justice featured that week and make a tip that would lead to an arrest. To date, they have had several instances where they were able to locate and capture alleged criminals who have been evading them for long periods of time.
This week, they are featuring Keith Jerome Singleton. Singleton is a 42-year-old Black male. The last photo the Police Department has of Singleton shows him with long, dreadlocks in his hair. Police say their records indicate that Singleton weighs approximately 155 pounds and is 5 feet 10 inches tall.
On March 15, 2023, officers with the Cayce Police Department went to an address in the city to execute a search warrant. During that search, they obtained evidence that included a sawed-off shotgun. This led the officer to bring charges against Singleton, even though he was not at the home when the officers arrived.
After Cayce’s investigators have presented their evidence to a judge, and the judge agreed there was enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant for Singleton. He is now charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a sawed-off shotgun. To date, police have been unable to find Singleton to serve him with the warrant and take him into custody.
