Lexington, SC 10/04/2023 – River Bluff High School is thrilled to announce its remarkable achievement in the 2023 South Carolina State Fair. Last week, the dedicated art teachers and River Bluff High School students submitted 56 artworks for consideration in this highly prestigious event. We are delighted to share that all these artworks have been accepted and will be showcased at the upcoming South Carolina State Fair, which will run from October 11 to 22, 2023.
This impressive accomplishment reflects the unwavering commitment, artistic brilliance, and exceptional talent that define the River Bluff High School community. Their collective dedication to the arts continues to shine brightly, earning them a well-deserved place in this year's state fair.
Moreover, we proudly recognize the following River Bluff High School students who have garnered top accolades in this statewide competition, along with their dedicated teachers:
- Kelsey Ross, a student in the 11th grade, secured the 2nd place position in the 3D art category, taught by Audra Yesnach.
- Patrick Lally, also an 11th-grade student, achieved 2nd place recognition in the Photography category, taught by Sara McGregor.
- Isabella Smith, representing the 12th grade, claimed the 2nd place in Photography, taught by Carlee Myers.
- Kyrstin Peeples, a standout talent, received the highest honor, earning the coveted "Best in Show" award in the Photography category, also taught by Carlee Myers. (attached)
