Chapin Police Department has earned the Agency Trilogy Award from The FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association

Chapin, SC 09/19/2024 - The FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) announced today that the Chapin Police Department has earned the Agency Trilogy Award, recognizing the department’s successful completion of a cutting-edge training program designed to strengthen public safety leadership and management. The Chapin Police Department is now the second agency in South Carolina to receive the award.

The Chapin Police Department’s command staff completed a three-part leadership series that educated officers on best leadership practices in diversity and inclusion, bias, public trust, transformational leadership, social and emotional intelligence and more. The Agency Trilogy Award is awarded to law enforcement agencies who demonstrate excellent leadership competencies that will advance their departments and the communities they serve.

"The Chapin Police Department is proud to receive the Agency Trilogy Award, it is a testament to our dedication to building strong leadership values throughout our department and within the community we serve," said Chief Thomas W. Griffin. “We prioritize the continuous development of each officer in our organization and are deeply appreciative to FBI-LEEDA for providing these invaluable programs to our profession.”

Each FBI-LEEDA course is uniquely designed to enhance law enforcement commanders of varying levels with leadership competencies. The courses are instructed by seasoned law enforcement leaders and public safety professionals nationwide who tailor their personal expertise to each training.

"On behalf of FBI-LEEDA, I am honored to present the Agency Trilogy Award to the Chapin Police Department," said Jacques S. Battiste, Executive Director of FBI-LEEDA. "Their outstanding leadership and exemplary management have set a high standard, and we look forward to witnessing the positive influence they will continue to bring to their community."

Since the inception of the Agency Trilogy Award, 151 law enforcement organizations have been awarded for excellence in leadership upon completion of the Command Leadership Institute, the Supervisor Leadership Institute and the Executive Leadership Institute.
