Chapin, SC 02/06/2025 (Paul Kirby) – A 5-year-old boy is back safe at his Chapin area home after giving his loved ones quite a scare. Clayton Frick went missing from his home off Saint Peter’s Road just west of the Town of Chapin.
Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and personnel from other agencies responded as soon as it was discovered that Clayton was missing Thursday afternoon. Within a short while, the child was located. Medical personnel from Lexington County’s EMS checked young Clayton over and determined that he had not been injured during the time that he was missing.
The Sheriff’s Department has given no indication that Clayton was anything other than lost during the time that he was missing. The department took to their social media accounts to thank the community for looking out for the lucky little boy while they searched for him.
