East Point Academy empowers young learners with early start for 4K and 5K students

West Columbia, SC 07/28/2023 - East Point Academy, a public charter school known for its commitment to academic achievement and cultivating global understanding, is thrilled to announce an update that promises to improve the school experience for its 4K and 5K students. The school is starting the new academic year a day earlier for 4K and 5K students. Monday, August 14th, will be a half-day starting at 9:00 am and concluding at noon.

The decision to implement an early start for 4K and 5K students is rooted in the school's dedication to ensuring a seamless and comfortable transition for its youngest learners. By providing an extra day for students to acclimate to their new school environment and routines, East Point Academy aims to foster a sense of confidence and excitement in its students from the first day of school.

"At East Point Academy, we believe that the early stages of a child's educational journey are pivotal in shaping their love for learning," said Andrew Hart, Head of School at East Point Academy. "The early start allows our 4K and 5K students to explore their classrooms and meet their teachers in a relaxed and supportive environment, setting the stage for a successful academic year."

In addition to the positive impact on students, the early start benefits parents. With a half-day session and lighter traffic, parents can familiarize themselves with the car line procedures without the pressure of a line full of cars. This collaborative effort between parents and the school will ensure a seamless experience during drop-offs and pickups, creating a stress-free and organized start to the school year.

Andrew Hart further emphasized, "Our commitment to parental involvement is integral to the success of our educational programs. We encourage parents to walk their children into the classrooms and capture those special 'first-day-of-school' moments, forging lasting memories together."

East Point Academy understands the importance of a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and students in creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment. As the school year begins, the administration is readily available to address any questions or concerns from parents.

The East Point Academy administrators and teachers are eagerly awaiting welcoming 4k and 5K students and parents Monday, August 14th, at 9:00 am. The early start represents the school's commitment to providing an enriching and supportive environment for its young learners, laying the groundwork for a year filled with growth and discovery.
