Food Lion is on the grow again and have found that Cayce is a great place to be

Cayce, SC 02/10/2021 - Starting today, Wednesday, February 10, 2021, Food Lion is growing again with the opening of another new store. Like many of their neighbors in Midlands, the chain’s management has seen first-hand that the City of Cayce is a great place to be and do business.

Their newest Food Lion is located at 2453 Charleston Hwy. in Cayce. This is in the plaza near Frink Street and Charleston Highway close to Murray’s, a restaurant well-known for its great chicken wings, other fabulous food choices, and fun.

The new Food Lion store will have approximately 75 associates and serve customers daily from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. Food Lion recently completed the acquisition of this location, which was formerly a BI-LO, after announcing its plans last year to acquire 62 BI-LO/Harveys Supermarkets across the Carolinas and Georgia.

In addition to its longstanding heritage of low prices, Food Lion also makes shopping easy and affordable for customers through its MVP loyalty program, its award-winning personalized Shop & Earn monthly rewards offers and with weekly promotions, hot sales, and everyday low prices.

"I’m extremely excited to open this new location and looking forward to welcoming everyone into their new Food Lion,” said Nelson Tucker, store manager. “I have lived and worked in this area for 20 years, and I’m proud to welcome my neighbors and family to shop with us and experience our expanded assortment and variety throughout our new store. I look forward to seeing everyone and serving my community at our new Cayce location.”

Customers can choose from an extensive product assortment, including in-store fresh cut fruit and vegetables, “grab-and-go” meal options to help make any meal easier, delicious hand-battered fried chicken and 100% USDA Choice fresh beef.

The store also offers a variety of Food Lion’s Nature’s Promise-brand beef, pork, poultry, milk, eggs, bottled water, cereal, coffee and other items. Nature’s Promise is Food Lion’s affordable brand of wholesome and organic products made with no artificial flavors, preservatives or synthetic colors.

Additionally, neighbors can find an expanded variety of great local offerings including some of its fresh produce that’s grown right here in Lexington County. W.P. Rawls Farms of Pelion supplies many of the chain’s green leafy vegetable, corn, spring onions, and other row crops for sale at Food Lion stores. There's also an opportunity to enjoy Columbia’s-own Cromer’s Popcorn and Iron City Coffee freshly roasted in nearby Blythewood, S.C. A list of additional local vendors with products in the new store can be found here.

In another commitment to the Cayce community, through Food Lion Feeds – the retailer’s hunger-relief initiative – the retailer donated $1,500 to Mission of Hope, an agency of Harvest Hope Food Bank. Mission of Hope will also regularly receive food donation from the new store to distribute to neighbors in need through Food Lion Feeds’ industry-leading food rescue program, which has helped Food Lion donate the equivalent of nearly 750 million meals since 2014.
