Former Springdale Police Officer Jordan charged by SLED with Misconduct in Office and Assault

Springdale, SC 04/22/2025 - A former Springdale Police Officer has been charged with Misconduct in Office and Assault and Battery 3rd Degree, according to the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, SLED agents arrested David Jordan after he turned himself in.
On November 18, 2024, a complaint was received alleging that Officer David Jordan had used excessive force during an arrest within the Town of Springdale. The department immediately began an internal investigation, and the complaint was sustained on November 21, 2024. The investigation was immediately turned over to SLED.
As of November 22, 2024, David Jordan was discharged from employment by the Springdale Police Department.
