Free tickets now available online for Lexington Police Department’s National Night Out

Lexington, SC 07/ 21/ 2022 (Paul Kirby) – Lexington’s Police Chief Terrence Green is inviting the public to this year's National Night Out. It is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2022. National Night Out is a nationwide event that allows the public to interact in a positive manner with their law enforcement community. In Lexington it is an evening of fun, food, and fellowship. it will be held at the Icehouse Amphitheater and Pavilion off Main St. at Church St. in the town of Lexington.


Lexington’s National Night Out will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 8:30 p.m. Chief Green said in a released statement that this is an opportunity to connect with your local law enforcement, first responders, talk about crime prevention, as well as have a great time with your family and friends during this free event.


The planned entertainment for the evening includes Go Go Laser Tag, Emerald’s Artistry Entertainment face painting, Looney Balloony, inflatables, a photo booth by Big Time Entertainment and Serve & Connect, and Call My DJ with the music.

This year’s event has more food choices than ever before. Rootin Tuten BBQ We'll be there grilling hotdogs from Ole Timey Meat Market, SERVPRO is serving drinks, and Boil the Bag Peanuts, Salsarita’s, Aspire Bakeries, Flower Foods, Krispy Kreme, RF’s Corner Grill, Bubba’s Biscuits, Tropical Grille, LICK Ice Cream, Flight Deck, Blue Bell Creamery, and Mingos Cookies will all be there so you can enjoy their offerings. Remember, the entire event is free.


Lastly, the support from these businesses and organizations That have all made donations to the LPD Foundation make this event possible. This is a free but ticketed event because of space constraints. You can get your free tickets through Eventbrite. There are 2,000 tickets available. Please beware of tickets that are offered for sale on a third-party website as they are likely a scam. Again, this is a free event and you should not have to pay for a ticket.


Please find parking in public parking lots near the event as those who park in private business parking lots take the risk of being towed from the property at the owner’s expense.
