Irmo, SC 02/19/2025 - Make-A-Wish South Carolina is honored to announce the appointment of Chad Dial to its Board of Directors. A wish dad, dedicated advocate, and respected attorney, Chad brings both personal experience and professional leadership to the organization’s mission of granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.
Chad is a member at Dial Grimm & Rupert, LLC, a full-service law firm based in Columbia, SC, where he focuses his practice on real estate transactions, wills, trusts, estates, and corporate representation. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Chad has built his career on guiding families and businesses through major life decisions with trusted legal counsel.
For Chad, Make-A-Wish South Carolina’s mission is deeply personal. His son, Myatt, was born prematurely with a serious respiratory condition, spending much of his early years in the hospital. When Myatt’s wish to go to Walt Disney World was granted, it was a transformative moment for their family.
“When we found out his wish would be granted, we were just as excited as he was,” said Chad Dial. “It was Myatt’s first real vacation—his first trip that wasn’t centered around medical treatments. That week, we saw Myatt do things we once thought were impossible. We witnessed the impossible realized. The joy and hope that Make-A-Wish brought to our family was truly life-changing.”
In addition to his role as a wish dad, Chad has been a dedicated supporter of the mission through Dial Grimm & Rupert, actively championing fundraising efforts and community engagement. His passion for Make-A-Wish South Carolina has only grown over the years, leading him to take on a leadership role within the organization.
Chad’s service on the board also honors the legacy of his late wife, Meredith Dial, a former Make-A-Wish South Carolina board member who was deeply committed to the organization. To continue her impact, Chad has expressed a personal commitment to raising funds for the newly established Meredith Dial Memorial Endowment Fund, ensuring that more children facing critical illnesses experience the joy and hope of a wish.
“We are grateful to welcome Chad Dial to our Board of Directors,” said Misty Farmer, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish South Carolina. “His firsthand experience as a wish dad, his dedication as a community leader, and his passion for honoring Meredith’s legacy will bring invaluable insight and energy to our mission. We know he will play a vital role in helping us grant more wishes for children across South Carolina.”
Chad, a Georgia native, has called South Carolina home for many years and currently resides in Irmo with his sons Myatt and Owen. He looks forward to using his personal and professional experience to further the mission of Make-A-Wish South Carolina, helping more families experience the life-changing power of a wish.
