Lexington, SC 03/06/2025 – Last week, Michael Anthony Dolan, Jr., age 44, was convicted of Trafficking Methamphetamine, 400 grams or more, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana following a jury trial in Lexington County. Circuit Court Judge Martha Rivers, who presided over this matter, sentenced Dolan to 28 years for the Methamphetamine offense and an additional 5 years for the Marijuana offense. Judge Rivers ordered the sentences to run consecutively. This means that Dolan will serve a total of 33 years. He is a validated member of a motorcycle gang in South Carolina.
Eleventh Circuit Assistant Solicitors Jordan Cox, Luke Pincelli, and Melissa Byars handled the prosecution of this case. The investigation was jointly conducted by the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (“NET”) and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (“SLED”).
On September 5th, 2023, agents with SLED’s Vehicle Crimes Unit arrived at Dolan’s home in Gaston to execute a search warrant. Assisting with the warrant were members of the Lexington County NET team and officers from the Gaston Police Department. The investigation expanded once agents located evidence of the distribution and manufacture of Marijuana within Dolan’s home and exterior shop. Inside the shop, investigators with the NET team located nearly eight hundred grams of Methamphetamine.
The Trafficking charge is the highest-level methamphetamine offense in South Carolina and carries a mandatory minimum sentence of twenty-five years. It is classified as a “violent” and “serious” offense. Under South Carolina, Dolan will not be eligible for parole.
This case represents the continued efforts of the Eleventh Circuit Solicitor’s Office and local law enforcement agencies to aggressively investigate and prosecute those who choose to flood our communities with dangerous drugs.
Dolan has been transported to the S.C. Department of Corrections to begin immediate service of the sentence.
I understand the whole drug thing and yes it is bad but why is it that people who sale drugs get all this time in prison for putting drugs out on the street But not Child Molesters when they just get slapped on the hand And Is turned back out in our communities To harm more children they should be the main ones getting prison time like this . Maybe if Child Molesters weren't allowed to keep Harming people's children.Maybe there wouldn't be so many people Addicted To these drugs that's out here
