Lexington, SC 03/29/2023 - At their March 21 board meeting, the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Sean Bishton as the new principal of Pelion High, effective July 1, 2023. Bishton currently serves as the principal of Muller Road Middle School in Richland School District Two.
Bishton graduated from University of Cape Town, in Cape Town, South Africa, with a bachelor’s degree in primary education in 1988. In 2007, he graduated from Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C., with a Master of Education in instructional accommodations. He received an educational specialist degree in educational administration from Capella University in 2011.
A member of the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators, Bishton was named the S.C. Music Educators Administrator of the Year.
