The Foundation's leadership said that they want to offer their heartfelt thanks to Michelin North America’s Lexington, SC leadership for continuing to make these grants possible. The Lexington One Educational Foundation offers this grant opportunity to teachers in Lexington District One twice a year. Teachers can apply for up to $250 in grant funds to provide unique educational experiences for their students. The grants allow for more creative learning opportunities that are not typically supported by the school supply budget.
Some of the fall projects chosen included purchasing an expanded thematic book assortment to develop vocabulary and literacy skills for preschoolers with disabilities; exploring scientific and creative skills in elementary grades with STEM bins; increasing students’ math skills and confidence in mastering mathematics through analytical and numeric games; and purchasing items that teach life and independent skills to students with intellectual disabilities.
Congratulations to each of these teachers for their accomplishment in earning a Michelin Golden Apple Teacher Grant! We deeply appreciate Michelin’s continued generosity and commitment to Lexington School District One teachers and students through the company’s long-standing partnership with the Lexington One Educational Foundation!
