Lexington police officers trying to identify a shoplifter from the Costless Outlet on Columbia Avenue

Lexington, SC 05/02/2024 (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department needs the public’s help to identify a man they say allegedly shoplifted from the Costless Outlet on Columbia Avenue in the Town of Lexington. This happened on April 4, 2024.

They believe the suspect stole a pair of shoes, a hand massage device, some batteries, and a backpack cooler. The management of the store figured that the merchandise stolen was valued at $200. They say the individual left the parking lot on a bicycle.

Please look closely at the photograph of the man. If you have information that might help the police locate him or you know who he is, please contact Detective Januchowski at 803-951-4642 or by email at ajanuchowski@lexsc.com. If you’d rather remain anonymous, contact Midlands Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC by phone or through email at www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.  There is also a Crimestoppers P3 tip app that you can download for free at one of the app stores. You could be eligible for a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest and conviction.
