Lexington, SC 01/17/2025 (Paul Kirby) – Investigators with the Lexington Police Department are trying to locate a suspect that allegedly stole three spools of copper wire from a business on Industrial Drive in the town. According to investigators, this incident happened in the early morning hours of December 28, 2024.
Investigators say on this date, the suspect used a ladder to cross a business’s fence in the 400 block of Industrial Drive. After accessing the yard, the suspect then forced entry into the building where three spools of copper wire were stored. Another subject then assisted the primary suspect in getting the spools back over the fence and running from the business once a private security company arrived on the scene. The items that were taken from the business are valued at $300. In their haste to leave, the suspect’s left the wire behind.
