Batesburg-Leesville, SC 03/04/2025 - Due to the latest forecasted severe weather expected to impact the Midlands of South Carolina on Wednesday, March 5th, Lexington County School District Three will shift to an eLearning Day. The primary threat on Wednesday is damaging winds, with gusts up to 60 miles per hour possible. The severe weather is anticipated between 5:00 AM and 11:00 AM, directly affecting Lexington Three’s scheduled Early Release Day. Therefore they will shift to an eLearning Day on Wednesday, March 5th. They apologize for the late schedule change notice to Panther families. According to the district they have been closely monitoring the weather throughout the day, but an unexpected shift led them to determine that eLearning will be the safest option for their students and staff members.
There will be no work for students to do on Wednesday, March 5th. Instead, students will receive their make-up eLearning assignments on Monday, March 10th. Students will have the option to complete their eLearning assignments on their own time or at home on the scheduled Professional Development/Teacher Workday on Friday, March 21st. All assignments will be due by no later than Friday, April 4th.
