West Columbia, SC 12/2/2024 (Paul Kirby) – A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder after a shooting in the Riverbend Apartment area of Lexington County over the weekend. According to a spokesperson for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Justin Brandon McCrae, 26, is charged with murder in the shooting death of a man Saturday evening.
Shortly after the shooting by McCrae, major crimes detectives interviewed those who live near the scene. Crime scene investigators also processed the scene and collected potential evidence. After doing this, they arrested McCrae Saturday night.
McCrae has been booked into the Lexington County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
