PACE is a newly formed, grassroots organization in Lexington School District Two. In only one month, more than 100 parents, educators, and other community members have joined this very important conversation about the school district’s posture as it relates to progressive trends in public education. PACE’s goal is to bring awareness, encourage more parental involvement, and to hold Lexington Two accountable for transparency on all levels. Their respectful and helpful dialogue is designed to support parents, students, and teachers as they advocate for excellence in education for the students of Lexington Two.
The four candidates running for three seats on the Lexington Two School Board are: Christina Rucker (incumbent – top right), Linda Wooten (incumbent, top left), Kevin Key (former school board member, bottom right), and Joseph Chuck Hightower (former 2020 candidate for school board, bottom left).
The Lexington Two School Board Candidate Forum hosted by PACE is an excellent initiative to foster transparency and community involvement in education. Events like these are vital for ensuring that parents, educators, and stakeholders have a platform to engage with candidates and address pressing issues in the district. With Kelly Nash moderating and live-streaming available, this forum promises to be both accessible and informative for the Lexington community.
