Lexington County, SC 06/11/2024 (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County polls closed at 7:00 p.m. this evening and the tabulation process has begun. No one can say exactly how long this process will take and some absentee and provisional ballots may not be added to the totals later in the week. Normally, the ballots of members of the military and provisional don’t carry enough numbers to swing an election in the opposite direction.
In the Lexington County Council races there are 4 incumbents being challenged and 1 race to fill the seat of Debbie Summers in District 4. Summers has decided to retire after 20 years of service.
