Lexington County, SC 02/09/2024 - Employees with the SCDOT will install an all-way stop at the intersection of Old Wire Road and US 21 (Charleston Highway) in Lexington County on Monday, February 12. Signage has been put in place to notify the traveling public of this new traffic signaling device.
The all-way stop is being put into place in advance of the planned construction of a roundabout at this location, a project planned to improve safety at this location. Roundabout construction is expected to be completed in 2025. Learn more about the roundabout project on the project website.
SCDOT encourages drivers to plan their routes in advance and drive cautiously in this area as the traveling public adjusts to the new traffic pattern.
