Shed destroyed by fire Sunday evening near Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge, SC 04/18/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Fire Service responded to a shed fire near a home in the 3100 block of Fish Hatchery Road near the intersection of Lynn Street Sunday evening. The call for service was received at approximately 6:30 p.m. bringing firefighters and their equipment to a home in proximity to the Pine Ridge town limits.

When the first due fire officer arrived, he reported that they had encountered a fully involved shed on a residential property. The firefighters pulled their hoses from the first due engine and aggressively attacked the blaze. In a short time, they were able to bring the fire under control. There was no major damage to any other structure because of this fire.

Lexington County has not released the cause of the fire. It doesn’t appear as if anyone was injured as a result of this blaze. The shed was a total loss.
